Keep in touch with our research activities, publications and postgraduate opportunities…

This blog acts as a ‘hub’ and newsletter profiling the research of members of the Sociology research group at Keele University.  Please subscribe to be updated about our research projects and activities, seminars, publications and opportunities to work with us. The Sociology research group at Keele are members of one or other of two Research Institutes: the Research Institute for Law, Politics and Justice, and the Research Institute for Life-Course Studies

We particularly welcome enquiries from people interested in studying for a PhD with us, or who are interested in one of our Masters’ programmes, or colleagues who might wish to work or spend a sabbatical or exchange with us.  Or perhaps you are a business or organisation who has a related interest in our research, and you might like to become one of our partners and stakeholders.  Whatever your interest in our research, please remember to subscribe for updates, to post your feedback and comments, and to email us directly if you need further information.

Keele University is a beautiful campus university in North Staffordshire, UK, very close to the motorway network and within an hour’s drive of Manchester and Birmingham (with their international airports), and less than two hours from London on the fast train service.  There are good facilities on campus for researchers, including the new Moser Centre for research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, a dedicated research and meeting space hosting postgraduate students and research staff.  We also have extensive wooded grounds and walks, sports facilities and the campus is very family-friendly with an on-site nursery and good local primary and secondary schools.  There are residential options for postgraduate students and there are also staff houses to rent or buy on campus.  You can find out more about Keele from the main university site and from this staff recruitment video.
