Youth policy chronology – this website was authored by Gill Jones, emeritus Professor of Sociology and her colleague Robert Bell. The website itself was created by Rebecca Leach. It is a historical overview of UK policies affecting children and young people from before the Second World War up until 2001. It has not been updated since then (thus the ‘current policies’ section is out of date) but nevertheless provides a wealth of historical and policy data focusing on: Employment; Education and Training; Social Security; Housing; Criminal Justice; and Civil and Family Law.
